1st October 07.
Never realised getting lost would be so amusing. But the truth is I was amused all the time, for every road on that dark nite in Goa made us look lost. Feeling of reaching nowhere and getting stranded on the lightless roads with only night creatures to ask help for made us realise, we were confronting a true adventure but with fear. After taking a crosscut of 20 km through Verna we were on NH17b, somewhere in Zuarinagar with huge oil tanking plants along, not to be found on my map, we knew we were lost. And then I heard B.lee saying " Ehh B.p , yeh adventure sab toh thik hai par abhi mera phatt raha hai yaar." And then I sensed his fear in me on this precise moment. So we decided to carry on for another 5 km and to take the same lost route back around Verna if no directions were found. Just about 5 mins later we were to see green radium boards directing Madgaon - 23 kms. There I was happy to be back on track and sad as well for the unknown left behind.

This was the day when we set off on our bike on the route Benaulim-Vasco-Panaji-Calangute and back to explore Goa. From lush green paddy fields bounded by coconut trees to Kingfish curry rice served along sweet shrimps covered with coconut flakes, a Navy museum with Sea Harrier, MiG 29, MiG 21 and Suryakiran that we were not allowed to see cuz its closed on Mondays, Evening ferry ride on Mandovi to Jesus Cross churches well lit in the nite, Sunset on Calangute stretching red turned sand due to feet stampings, 25 mins ride to Nine bar just to find it turned into a family restaurant from a psychedlic trance outfit during off- seasons , long open road for an adventure ride back and ofcourse a pint of beer to sip on and reminiscence how much every waking day has to offer.
